Staff provide Pregnancy Prevention lessons to youth at Kawananakoa and Stevenson Intermediate schools.
HMO promotes a “client centered” approach to encourage positive youth development, build resiliency in youth, strengthen family functioning, and prevent or reduce delinquency and recidivism. In addition to providing strong center-based services, trained staff target youth and families through a combination of Educational, Leadership, Sports/Health and Fitness, and Pregnancy Prevention lessons. Youth can become involved in the following activities: Case Management, tutoring, sports, wellness groups, vocational preparation, community service, summer intersession programs, pregnancy prevention classes and art and cultural activities.
