The Youth SEPP Prevention Program is a multi-media presentation for youth ages 11 to 21. This can be conducted in a classroom or assembly setting. Our goal is to provide education about the dangers of recruitment and help prevent youth from getting involved in CSE. Its design is age appropriate and addresses the Department of Education’s Health Standards.

The first part of the presentation focuses on defining CSE in a way that youth can understand. They will learn about the misleading information often portrayed in the media, and the many myths surrounding the sex trade as well as the life of the individuals involved in CSE, including the physical, sexual, emotional and mental abuse they endure.

The second part of the presentation covers the role of the perpetrators, how and where they recruit, why young girls and boys are at high risk for recruitment and tips on how to stay safe. Participants are encouraged to interact throughout and will be offered a time for questions following the presentation.

Presentation information is based on the experiences of thousands of individuals formerly involved in CSE, as well as national and international research. This frank discussion will give youth the vital information and knowledge that can be applied immediately to their own lives.
