Hale Kipa’s Community Based Residences (CBR’s), known collectively as Hale Kupono, provide community-based therapeutic group living with a full continuum of services. As a whole, the residences offer a comprehensive system of care, addressing the youth’s physical, emotional, educational, recreational, and developmental needs in a least-restrictive and natural home environment.
The residential program provides therapeutic support for youth who are ready to integrate back into the community and schools by working on their coping and living skills. Hale Kupono also offers an on-site school program.
Hale Kupono strives to create a nurturing and culturally sensitive family environment, applies therapeutic programming, utilizes behavioral management and positive reinforcement techniques to work through behavior, and employs Qualified Mental Health Professionals to provide therapeutic and family services.
