Hale Kipa’s Transitional Living Program (TLP) provides homeless, street and street-identified young adults with opportunities to transition into positive living situations and self-reliance. While honoring their strengths, TLP illuminates the challenges faced by these young adults and supports them in realizing their goals.

Residents have the option to work with the staff on an outreach basis or within the more structured residential settings. TLP Outreach Services provide case management services as well as goal planning and skill learning. By working with clients on an outreach basis clients can progress toward their goals at their own pace.

TLP’s Residential Program operates residential houses in which the young adults work towards education and vocational goals and learn life skills to prepare them for self-sufficiency. The six to nine month programs are located in the Honolulu and Ewa areas.

TLP acts as an adjunct to the Youth Outreach Program (YO), in which street-identified and homeless youth are provided medical and support services.
