Hale Kipa has elected Richard J. Sakoda, attorney at law, to its Board of Directors. The board welcomes Sakoda’s knowledge and over 20 years of experience in law.
As a partner at the law firm of Sterling & Tucker, LLP, Sakoda helps families, including those of disabled individuals, plan for their future from a legal perspective. He specializes in estate planning, elder law, probate, trust administration, special needs planning for disabled individuals and their families, Medicaid planning, and estate and gift taxes.
“As a father of two young boys, I can readily see the value and necessity of Hale Kipa’s youth services,” said Richard Sakoda, member of Hale Kipa’s Board of Directors. “Joining the board is my way of giving back to the community, especially to the youth in most need of help. I believe my background in law and creative problem solving will prove valuable to Hale Kipa.”
Sakoda has a juris doctor degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii and a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Washington.
