Working for Hale Kipa puts you in a position of helping, directly or indirectly, those in our community that need and want assistance in improving their lives. Making a donation gives you another opportunity to support your community. AUW and their partners offer assistance – not as a life style but as a transition to a better place. Through partnerships, AUW helps individuals and families learn skills that get them back on their feet and become part of our working community.
There are many ways to make a contribution. You may make a Direct Gift by writing a check or using a credit card. An Automatic Transfer can make monthly deductions from your checking account. Or you may elect to be billed on a monthly or quarterly basis.
The most popular way to make a contribution is by making a pledge through AUW’s Easy Payroll Deduction. This allows you to make a contribution from each paycheck – a little at a time. Once established, the process is totally automatic. Any deductions to your pay check can be easily monitored by checking your pay stub.
You may make an unrestricted gift that AUW distributes state wide or you may designate one or several of the 342 agencies that AUW partners with. A $48 minimum is required if you designate a charity. For example: You may designate Hale Kipa as your charity by listing our Agency Designation Number 96190 on the 2015 Aloha United Way Pledge Form. And since AUW does not charge any fees 100% of your contribution is passed along to your designated charity.
Giving someone on the street corner some money is a kind and noble act but donating directly to organizations like AUW is the key to breaking destructive cycles. Organizations like AUW “helps people help themselves.”
