Hale Kipa and Waikiki Health joined the City and County of Honolulu on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, in recognizing Runaway Prevention Month with an official proclamation for November. The month is recognized nationally to create awareness around the estimated 1.6 to 2.8 million youth who run away in the U.S. each year.
Since 1989, Hale Kipa and Waikiki Health have worked together to offer services to Oahu’s runaway and homeless youth through the Youth Outreach center in Waikiki.
