Communications Department

The Communications Department is involved in Hale Kipa’s internal and external strategic communications, focusing on programs, services, and policies.  Key responsibilities include media relations, social media, and marketing to enhance the awareness and visibility of the services that Hale Kipa provides.  The Communications Department also provides in-house production of graphic design and printing for all departments and programs.

Key Functions for the Agency

Public Relations: Involvement in Hale Kipa’s public image and reputation through media relations, press releases, and public events.

Internal Communications:  Helping to keep staff informed about company news, policies, and initiatives.

Marketing and Advertising: Involved in developing and executing marketing campaigns to promote the agency’s services.

Managing the Hale Kipa website and online presence: Ensuring the Hale Kipa website is up-to-date and provides a positive user experience.

Developing Social Media Strategies: Engaging with audiences on social media platforms to build relationships and to promote the agency.

Content Creation:  Creating various forms of content, such as website copy, social media posts, and marketing materials.

Crisis Communications: Involved in developing and implementing plans to manage and respond to potential crises or negative publicity.

Brand Management: Supporting all departments and programs in developing consistent brand messaging.

Signage: Design and production of external and internal signs for all  facilities.

Publication Graphics: Ads and announcements for printed media aimed towards the public.

Newsletter: Design and distribution of ʻAʻaliʻi, Hale Kipa’s quarterly newsletter.

Annual Report: Design and production of Hale Kipa’s digital and printed Annual Report.

Board Meeting Support: Send out meeting reminders, assemble and distribute handouts, and provide hard copy minutes.

Key Functions for Staff

HK E-Signature: HK’s official email signature that contains the sender’s name, job title, the HK logo, agency information, and contact details.  This branding tool reinforces the sender’s identity and agency image.

HK Business Cards: Reordering of in-house printed business cards, normally in quantities of 20 or increments of 10.

HK Letterhead: Maintain and distribute HK letterheads used for official and non-official business.

HK Branding: HK logo for your project.

Playbook: Distribution of the playbook brochure for staff and projects.

Events: Event items available for loan: table covers, stand-up banners, brochure holders, etc.

Swag: Ordering and distribution of swag for events that HK is involved in.

Social Media Management: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, HK website.  Send us information about your event to be promoted on our social media.

Marketing Materials: Developing brochures, flyers, booklets, and other materials to support marketing and public awareness efforts.

HK Forms: Assist in creating business forms for your program.

Videography: Video editing for your projects.

In-Kind Donations: Communicate with donors, receive in-kind donations, generate acknowledgements, and coordinate the distribution to programs and services.

Recording and filing of Grants: Send us your completed grant applications for filing and reporting.
