Laura Brucia Hamm, Ed.M​., M.A.

Chief Quality Improvement Officer

Laura Brucia Hamm is a first-generation immigrant from Milan, Italy, whose early experience navigating cultures shaped her lifelong commitment to understanding people and communities. She earned a Bachelor of Science (cum laude) in Psychology from Louisiana State University in Shreveport and completed dual Master’s degrees in Counseling Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University, with an emphasis on multiculturalism and women’s challenges.

With more than 30 years of experience in mental health and human services—17 of those with Hale Kipa—Laura currently serves as Chief Quality Improvement Officer. She is a strategic, evidence-driven leader dedicated to expanding access to services, strengthening operations, and advancing sustainable growth. Her work has supported increased funding, enhanced organizational positioning, and continuous quality improvement across programs.

Laura is deeply committed to advancing Trauma-Informed Care and is recognized for her leadership in cultural humility and dynamic environments. She leads with transparency and accountability, driven by a passion for strengthening the workforce and organizations so they can perform at their highest level in partnership with the communities they serve.
