Dori has served as Hale Kipa’s Director of Human Resources since 2004. She started at Hale Kipa in 1991 as a Program Coordinator for the Girl’s Emergency Shelter and then the Ho’okala Program. She also served as the Program Director, providing oversight of the Emergency Shelters, Ho’okala Program and the Relief Department. Dori graduated in 1990 with a master’s degree in social work from the University of Hawai‘i. After graduation she worked at Farrington High School’s School to Work Transition Center for a short time before beginning her nonprofit career at Hale Kipa.
