Hale Kipa’s Intensive Independent Living Skills Program provides comprehensive, behavioral, community-based services for teens and their families referred by the Hawaii Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division (CAMHD). The services are based on an intensive, individualized, strengths-based approach that focuses on building independent living skills for the youth and their families.
A dedicated, geographically-based team of mental health professionals and trained therapeutic paraprofessional staff are assigned to assist and support young persons and their families to meet the identified goals of their Coordinated Service Plan (CSP) and increase their independence and transition to adulthood. Services are designed to be both culturally sensitive and developmentally fitting to the strengths and needs of youth and their families.
