Mahalo to SEEQS inclusion specialist Josh Nesmith and his incredible students for their thoughtful gift of feminine hygiene kits to the youth at Hale Kipa.
As part of their semester project, students from SEEQS: School for Examining Essential Questions of Sustainability, a secondary public charter school in Honolulu, chose to support Hale Kipa after researching the services we provide. These students, ages 11–14, explored several ideas and ultimately decided to create feminine hygiene kits to meet a critical and often overlooked need.
These kits provide more than just supplies. They will offer comfort, dignity, and a sense of normalcy, ensuring youth have reliable access to essential menstrual products. When basic needs are met, youth can focus on their health, education, and personal growth without the stress, shame, or disruption caused by lack of access.
By removing barriers to essential care, these kits will help:
…• Boost self-esteem and confidence
…• Support health and overall well-being
…• Ensure no one has to miss school, work, or daily activities
…• Empower youth to participate fully in their communities
We are deeply grateful to the SEEQS students and their support staff for their compassion, research, and commitment to making a meaningful impact. ♥
